Origin
Iktes was born with the mission to drive into practice the latest technological advances in structural engineering, detecting the main needs and challenges within the field in order to promote new research lines.
The embryonic idea behind the foundation of Iktes takes place in an academic environment, at the UPC (Barcelona), and the Instituto de Ingeniería de la UNAM (México). The main idea emerges from realizing that vanguard technologies in computational simulation were underutilized in the professional practice of structural engineering, thus not exploiting its advantages and capabilities in order to maximize the safety and to optimize the cost of the constructions.
This project was selected for the innovation incubation program of Instituto de Ingeniería de la UNAM. This platform allowed to further reinvent, develop, and materialize the idea into a higher standard.
Iktes is characterized by its human team. It is composed by highly knowledgeable people specialized in complex structural simulations, being also the main force promoting a larger innovation ecosystem that allows Iktes to apply state-of-the-art techniques to offer the highest quality solutions to our customers.
